Bob Porras “Ninja,” CEO/Owner/Founder & Director of Training
Ninja is a small business owner who enjoys sharing his extensive special operations and paramilitary experience by teaching firearms and tactics to law enforcement personnel, U.S. Military, security professionals and the general U.S. citizenry.
After 39 years of service to our country, “Ninja,” is twice retired. Ninja’s military career included 10 years as a U.S. Army Special Operations soldier serving in the prestigious Special Operations Tier 1 Special Mission Unit. Following a twenty-year career in the Army, Ninja spent 3 years as a Diplomatic Security Officer (contractor) for the U.S. Department of State prior to a 16-year career in the Central Intelligence Agency where he retired for a second time.
Bob’s extensive experience and service to our country as a Special Operations soldier, Diplomatic Security Officer, and Special Agent included numerous global deployments to areas considered war/combat zones and/or critical/high-threat areas.
As a U.S. Army Infantryman, Ninja was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge for combat action during “Operation Just Cause.” He has also received one of the CIA’s highest awards for his actions in N. Africa. Bosnia & Herzegovinian, Libya, Lebanon, Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, Suriname, Columbia, Algeria, Egypt, and more recently, Yemen and East-Africa are some of the other combat/high-threat areas where he served.
Immediately following Ninja’s retirement from Government service, he began instructing in areas that focus on his extensive knowledge and expertise in protective operations, firearms, and Special Operations tactics. He developed a curriculum and engaged as a freelance (guest instructor) firearms trainer for Shadow Hawk Defense in Hedgesville, WV where he instructed the MOS red dot course, pistol and rifle. He has also conducted Protective Operations training for the DoD/USAF Protective Security Operations Team which included tactical/high-performance protective operations driving and firearm instruction.
Ninja is a Central Intelligence Agency-certified firearms instructor, an NRA-certified pistol instructor, a certified Glock Armorer, and a member of both the NRA and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
