Bob “Ninja” Porras is a U.S. military veteran and firearms/tactics instructor best known as the founder of NinjaBobSolutions LLC, a training business focused on firearms, tactical skills, and personal defense. 39 years in the fight. Twice retired. Still in the arena.

Ninja forged his experience where failure has consequences—special operations, paramilitary environments, and clandestine missions where hesitation costs lives. He spent over two decades in the U.S. Army, including 10 years inside a Tier 1 Special Mission Unit operating at the highest level of warfare.

After the military, the mission didn’t stop.

He deployed as a Protective Security Specialist (PSS) supporting the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), operating in high-threat environments where protection, precision, and violence of action were non-negotiable.

He then carried that fight into a 16-year career with the Central Intelligence Agency, executing and supporting operations in the shadows—where outcomes matter more than recognition.

Bob “Ninja” brings over four decades of real-world operational experience earned in the world’s most hostile environments. His career spans elite service as a Special Operations soldier, Diplomatic Security Officer, and Supervisory Special Agent—executing missions across warzones, combat theaters, and high-threat assignments worldwide.

Across 20+ years of global deployments, Ninja operated in environments where failure was not an option—Panama, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Libya, Lebanon, Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Yemen, East Africa, and beyond. These were not training scenarios—these were real-world missions with real consequences.

As a U.S. Army Infantryman and Special Operations operator, Ninja earned the Combat Infantry Badge for direct combat action during Operation Just Cause. His service within the intelligence community was further recognized with one of the CIA’s highest awards for operational excellence in North Africa.

His career didn’t just span time—it built mastery.

After retiring from government service, Ninja didn’t slow down—he redirected the mission.

He transitioned immediately into training the next generation of protectors, bringing hard-earned experience into the civilian, law enforcement, and military training space.

Conducted Protective Operations training for DoD/USAF Protective Security Teams, Emergency Egress training to Northern Kentucky S.W.A.T.
